Actuarial Manager (Invest Systems and Analytics Team) Full Time

We have an amazing opportunity for a Qualified Actuary at a leading Financial Services Provider based in Sandton! The main purpose of this role is:
– To apply actuarial and data analytics expertise to enhance retention and distribution strategies, improve business processes, identify product opportunities, and ensure product implementation aligns with actuarial design and system accuracy.

We require a candidate with:
• Qualified Fellow Actuary
• 3–10 years of experience in Life Insurance or Investment industries
• Strong data analytics and actuarial modelling experience
• Proficiency in MS Excel and SQL
• Experience with R and/or Python (statistical software)
• Programming or scripting knowledge (e.g. VBA)
• Experience applying regression or machine learning models (advantageous)
• Previous systems, software testing, or coding experience (beneficial)
• Strong analytical thinking, innovation, and problem-solving ability
