Financial Manager Full Time

We have an amazing opportunity for a Financial Manager at a leading events and marketing organisations in Cape Town CBD.

The main purpose of this role is:
To oversee the full financial function, ensure compliance with IFRS/IFRS for SMEs, lead a finance team of four, and provide accurate financial insights and reports to EXCO. The role includes ownership of AFS, audits, cash flow management, working capital optimisation, budgeting, forecasting and strategic financial support, while maintaining strong financial controls and policies.

We require a candidate with:
• BCom or BCom (Hons) + Completed Articles (CA(SA), SAIPA or CIMA or equivalent)
• 5–8 years’ post-articles experience
• Proven team leadership experience managing finance staff (Financial Accountant, AP, AR, Payroll Administrator etc.)
• Experience owning annual financial statements, audits,
• VAT/EMP/CIT submissions and working capital delivery
• Strong knowledge of IFRS / IFRS for SMEs
• Experience maintaining and enforcing policies: revenue recognition, credit control, procurement, fixed assets, reconciliations, delegations of authority
• Proficiency in SimplePay, DEXT and Xero
• Strong analytical, reporting, budgeting and forecasting capability
• Ability to support EXCO with financial insights, modelling and strategy
