Management and Cost Accountant Full Time

We have an amazing opportunity for a Management and Cost Accountant at a well-established manufacturing firm

The main purpose of this role is:
• To provide critical financial insight through advanced costing techniques, strategic budgeting, and profitability analysis. This high-impact role requires someone with strong cost accounting and financial reporting skills, ideally within the manufacturing sector, who can work closely with the COO and CFO to drive data-informed decisions.

We require a candidate with:
• A CIMA qualification or CA(SA) designation (non-negotiable)
• A minimum of 5–10 years of relevant experience in management and cost accounting
• Manufacturing sector experience (essential)
• Strong knowledge of standard and absorption costing, activity-based costing, and reconciliation of labour/machining hours
• Proven ability to analyse profitability of finished goods and reconcile over/under recoveries
• Familiarity with SAP (preferred) and advanced Excel skills (non-negotiable)
• Working knowledge of bank guarantees, letters of credit, revolving credit facilities, and SARB submissions
• Deep understanding of transfer pricing, FOREX revaluations, hedging mechanisms, and forward cover contracts
• Experience with VAT audits, stock provision management, and fixed asset register oversight
• Ability to process payroll/VAT journals and manage SAP cost centre allocations, especially during budget cycles
