Quantity Surveyor Full Time

Our client, a well-established Professional Quantity Surveying (PQS) consultancy, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join their Durban-based team. This opportunity is ideal for a candidate looking to build their consulting experience across a range of private sector developments while working alongside experienced industry professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare cost estimates, feasibility studies, and cost plans for building projects
• Compile bills of quantities and tender documentation
• Manage project costs from inception through to final account
• Provide professional quantity surveying and cost consulting services to clients
• Administer and manage construction contracts, particularly JBCC agreements
• Conduct valuations, variation assessments, and final account negotiations
• Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, contractors, and other project stakeholders
• Ensure projects are delivered within approved budgets and financial objectives

Requirements:
• BSc Honours in Quantity Surveying
• Minimum 4 years’ experience within a PQS consultancy or private sector quantity surveying environment
• Strong contractual and practical quantity surveying knowledge
• Sound understanding of JBCC contracts and contract administration
• Proficiency in WinQS and DimX
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and perform effectively under pressure
