Senior Civil Quantity Surveyor Full Time

Our client is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their civil engineering and construction team. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned commercial professional to take ownership of the financial and contractual performance of major infrastructure projects while working closely with operational teams to maximise project profitability.

Key Responsibilities
• Manage the commercial, contractual, and financial aspects of projects from commencement through to final account.
• Prepare and monitor project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports.
• Administer contracts and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
• Manage subcontractor procurement, appointments, valuations, and final accounts.
• Prepare client valuations, payment applications, and commercial reports.
• Monitor project cash flow and implement strategies to optimise financial performance.
• Track Actual vs. Allowable costs using CCS (Candy) and Buildsmart.
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities and implement corrective actions.
• Work closely with project managers and site teams to ensure sound commercial decision-making.
• Support tender reviews, procurement strategies, and continuous commercial improvement initiatives.

Minimum Requirements
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related qualification.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience within the civil engineering construction industry.
• Extensive experience in commercial management of civil engineering projects.
• Strong knowledge of contract administration, cost control, and subcontractor management.
• Proficiency in CCS (Candy) and Buildsmart software.
• Excellent financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting skills.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects while working under pressure.
