Senior Civil Wind Engineer Full Time

A global leader in the renewables energy sector is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Wind Engineer to join their global team in Cape Town. In this position you will play a pivotal role in the civil engineering management of large-scale solar, wind, hydro, and energy storage projects

Role requirements:
• B.Eng Civil Engineering or Masters in Civil Engineering
• Registered with ECSA as a Professional Engineer
• 10+ years civil engineering experience
• 5+ years Solar and Wind energy experience
• Proficiency in CAD,AutoCAD 3D, GIS software and MS Office.
• Design experience in the following:
o Foundations
o Drainage systems
o Roads or pavements
o Buildings
o Slope stability and Retaining walls
o Culvert sizing and channel design
o Floating PV systems
o Offshore geotechnical design
• Experience with Hydroelectric power is ideal.
• Valid driver’s license and passport

In this position:
• You will be responsible for managing the civil engineering discipline across regional renewable energy projects.
• Delivering high quality and cost-efficient concepts and solutions for business development opportunities and construction projects within ground mounted PV, floating PV and wind power.
• Manage the progress of geotechnical, hydrological, civil, structural technical deliverables for our EPC projects regionally.
• Manage the technical resources in region.
