Senior Infrastructure Design Engineer Full Time

A global leader in the mining and minerals industry is looking for a strong and confident Senior infrastructure design engineer to join their multi-disciplinary team to take charge of infrastructure designs like stormwater systems, roads and bulk earthworks. This role offers the opportunity to lead design integration, ensure quality standards and collaborate closely with multi-disciplinary teams.

Role requirements:
• BSc/ BTech Civil Engineering
• 10 years of experience in infrastructure design in Mining and Mineral Processing
• Pr. Eng/ Pr. Tech with ECSA
• SAICE member
• Experience in:
o Strom water run-off analysis and design of related structures
o Geometric and pavement design
o Terrace setting out and shaping
o Infrastructure Buried Services: Fire, Potable, and Sewer Reticulation Analysis
• Knowledge of SANS/Colto payment clauses
• Proficient in Civil 3D/Technocad, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office

Key responsibilities:
• Design lead with a focus on managing teams and reporting on their progress and performance.
• Producing infrastructure designs and design reports.
• Conducting site inspections.
• Integrate design information between different disciplines.
• Manage the timeline of all design components.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards.
