Senior Systems Engineer Full Time

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join their IT team in Woodmead. This hybrid opportunity is ideal for a skilled infrastructure professional who thrives in modern cloud and virtualised environments and enjoys designing, implementing and optimising secure, highly available enterprise platforms.

Key Responsibilities
• Design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for reliable software deployments.
• Automate infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code and configuration management tools.
• Provision and manage cloud and virtualised environments across AWS, Azure, GCP and VMware.
• Monitor, optimise and troubleshoot infrastructure performance and availability.
• Maintain highly available, secure and scalable production environments.
• Collaborate with development teams to improve delivery pipelines and operational efficiency.
• Implement monitoring, logging and alerting solutions.
• Produce and maintain infrastructure documentation and operational runbooks.
• Support continuous improvement across cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments.

Minimum Requirements
• Proven experience as a Senior Systems Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer or similar.
• Strong experience with CI/CD platforms such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins or CircleCI.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Terraform, Ansible or other Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
• Strong knowledge of AWS, Azure, GCP and VMware environments.
• Experience with Bash, Python or similar scripting languages.
• Understanding of cloud networking, compute and storage concepts.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and communication skills.

Advantageous Experience
• Hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
• Infrastructure security, identity and access management.
• Monitoring solutions such as Prometheus, Grafana or the ELK Stack.
• Cost optimisation and performance tuning.
• Technical team leadership experience.
