General Foreman Full Time

Our client is seeking an experienced General Foreman to oversee building construction projects in Cape Town. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive construction professional with strong leadership skills and a proven ability to deliver projects safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
• Supervise and coordinate daily site activities on building construction projects.
• Lead site teams and subcontractors to ensure work is completed according to programme.
• Monitor workmanship and ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
• Plan and allocate labour, plant, equipment, and materials effectively.
• Enforce health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
• Conduct site inspections and resolve construction-related issues promptly.
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Maintain accurate site records and progress reports.

Requirements
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience as a General Foreman within the building construction industry.
• Proven experience supervising commercial, residential, or mixed-use building projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, site management, and quality control.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
