Project Development Manager Full Time

Our client is seeking a motivated Project Development Manager to join a growing renewable energy development team in Cape Town. This opportunity is ideal for a candidate with strong greenfield renewable energy project development experience who is looking to play a key role in advancing projects from early-stage development through to the later phases of the development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
• Independently manage the development of early- and mid-stage renewable energy projects.
• Support senior team members with late-stage project development activities.
• Identify suitable project sites and assist with land acquisition processes.
• Manage environmental, regulatory and permitting activities.
• Monitor and report on project development costs and budgets.
• Identify opportunities for technical optimisation to improve project viability.
• Support commercial development activities, including the procurement of project goods and services.
• Assist with project sale processes and contract execution.
• Identify, assess and manage project risks throughout the development process.
• Contribute to project financial modelling and budget management.
• Provide guidance and support to junior team members where appropriate.

Requirements
• Tertiary Qualification
• Experience in greenfield renewable energy project development.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
• Strong organisational, commercial and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
