RESIDENTIAL CONSTRUCTION FOREMAN – JOHANNESBURG Full Time

Our client requires a capable and experienced Foreman to take responsibility for the coordination and supervision of residential construction activities in Johannesburg. This role will suit a hands-on construction professional with strong site leadership skills and a minimum of five years’ relevant experience.

Responsibilities
• Manage and supervise daily activities on the construction site.
• Allocate tasks and coordinate construction teams and subcontractors.
• Ensure work is completed efficiently and in line with project programmes.
• Monitor workmanship and ensure required quality standards are maintained.
• Interpret and work according to construction drawings and specifications.
• Monitor site productivity and address issues affecting progress.
• Assist with snagging, inspections and quality-control processes.
• Promote and enforce safe working practices on site.
• Monitor materials, equipment and general site requirements.
• Coordinate with project management and other stakeholders regarding site progress.
• Report delays, defects, risks and other site-related issues.
• Maintain effective site administration and reporting.

Requirements
• 5+ years’ experience in a Foreman role.
• Residential construction experience.
• Strong practical knowledge of construction processes.
• Experience managing site teams and subcontractors.
• Sound understanding of construction quality and safety requirements.
• Good planning and organisational ability.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
• A proactive, reliable and detail-oriented approach.
