Water Engineer Full Time

Our client is seeking a technically strong and professionally registered Water Engineer to deliver hydraulic and civil engineering solutions across major water and wastewater infrastructure projects. The role combines design expertise, stakeholder coordination and construction support, with an opportunity to mentor developing engineers.

What You Will Be Responsible For
• Design and develop bulk water and wastewater conveyance systems.
• Carry out hydraulic modelling and network analysis to support infrastructure design.
• Develop pipeline, pump and associated civil infrastructure solutions.
• Assist with pump selection and hydraulic system optimisation.
• Undertake civil design, including reinforced concrete structures where required.
• Investigate and support infrastructure rehabilitation and trenchless solutions.
• Prepare engineering reports, tender documentation and cost estimates.
• Coordinate technical inputs across multidisciplinary project teams.
• Provide engineering support during construction and commissioning.
• Maintain effective communication with clients and contractors.
• Mentor graduate and junior engineers.

Candidate Requirements
• BEng/BSc Engineering (Civil).
• Professional registration with ECSA.
• 5+ years’ relevant consulting engineering experience.
• Strong experience in bulk water and/or wastewater infrastructure.
• Proven hydraulic and pipeline design capability.
• Knowledge of civil infrastructure design and reinforced concrete structures.
• Experience with construction support and cost estimation.
• Familiarity with trenchless technologies and infrastructure rehabilitation.
• Surge analysis experience is advantageous.
